The Group

_{All deviants are allowed to join the #Emotication group as a member. Whether you are a new emoticonist, an experienced emoticonist, a tutorial writer or just simply interested in the emote community we welcome you to us as an official member!

To join, simply click the 'Join our group' link at the top of the page and enjoy your instant membership.

Additional privileges may be opened up in the future for members, so I advise you to join rather than just watching the group, but either option is welcomed.

As a member you will be able to suggest favourites to the group. We accept both emote tutorials and emote base packs.

To suggest a fave, simply go to the Favourites page and click the ' + Suggest a fave ' button

All suggestions should be sent to the Featured folder and from there I will sort them myself into the correct categories as well as adding them to the base pack or Tutorial lists.

Group changes

Over the next couple of months there are going to be some changes happening at the #Emotication group. As some of the journals and pages are now becoming outdated we are going to have a big spring clean to update all of the information (such as new category changes) and help make the information easier to discover and explore. This is likely to involve changes to most of the journals with some information being moved to over parts of the group (e.g favourites) or other dA emote groups where it is more relevant to save two lists being kept.

What will this mean for you? The changes are going to result in a large number of journals being posted from this account as I restructure how the information is broken up. But other than that, the same information should be available the majority of times, even if it's not in the nicest format.

Super group fundraising

Just a quick note to say the group now has a super group until October 2014. Thanks to some generous donations and a large number of OCtopi commissions we've managed to raise the points to purchase 2 more years. Thanks to any one that donated

Hey there! I'm very ( VERY more like... ) new to animating on GIMP... I've went through you tutorials, they all fantastic!
But I'm having one problem... replace seems to be doing combine!
Do you know how to fix this...? I can't do my idea because of this...

Can someone please send me a tutorial/ help me start animating my pixels?!!!!, I have tried to found out how effortlessly for hours, the most progress I have made can be seen from the two Squirtle pics in my gallery.......... someone please answer my call...
